Childcare Group located in Dublin (Ireland), is seeking enthusiastic and experienced childcare workers to join their team. Workers may be placed in any Crèche within the group, all close to Dublin.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum QQI Level 6 Major Award in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent (“Técnico Superior de Educación Infantil, Maestro de Educación Infantil o Primaria…)
- Strong proficiency in English and communication skills, with a preference for full English fluency
- Past Crèche work experience is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must relocate to Ireland and be eligible to work in Ireland
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 12 years old
- Developing and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Planning and supervising indoor and outdoor playtime, mealtime, and naptime
- Engaging with children for play and learning activities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
- Monitoring children’s progress and development and communicating this regularly with their parents and guardians
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on children’s progress
- Implementing the Aistear and Montessori educational frameworks
- Ensuring TUSLA standards and requirements are constantly met throughout the day
- Collaborating with colleagues and parents to identify and address any developmental concerns or challenges that children may be facing
- Attending to the hygiene needs of the children (nappy changing, nose cleaning, toileting, washing)
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring that the childcare facility and equipment are safe and clean
- Work as part of a team reporting to the Room Leader and Managers
- Reporting any concerns you may have to the appropriate parties
- Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards.
- To communicate with children at their level, in a manner that encourages their development and learning
- When needed, prepare food and serve it to the children, while encouraging good eating habits, personal hygiene, and self-feeding where appropriate
